I wanted to write and let you know about the outstanding service I received at McKinnon's Portsmouth on Tuesday. Being Valentine's Day, I was looking for a nice meal to make for my husband. Being pregnant with 2 kids under 5 at home, I wanted something that would be easy to prepare but not taste like it had been sitting for a couple days. The staff, particularly the butcher, was so helpful. He helped me and my vegetarian friend choose steaks for dinner and gave us the best way to cook them (which worked perfectly!). He was patient and took his time explaining the different cuts and answered all of our questions. The person working near the deli helped us pick out side dishes (potato cups and roasted butternut squash) and the girls in the bakery were equally as helpful. This was my first time at the store and I was so pleased with my experience. I know I can come back and get some great food for very reasonable prices (even on Valentine's Day!) and will be helped by excellent associates. Thank you for helping make my Valentine's dinner so special!
